We had the opportunity to share this weekend at Christ City Church in Miami and I loved how my hubby prompted the church that we all are on this same journey. Ours may look a bit different as in we are crossing international borders but really we are all, as disciples called to make disciples in this together....and I mean more than the "some are called to go and some are called to send." I believe its miraculous how God provides for those like us who need financial partners, but just because someone may give financially to support doesn't mean that is where their 'call' ends.

This is why I love The Table Network. At the heart of their purpose is meeting people where they are at and encouraging people to slow down, to actually take the time to engage the very people God has put around them. We all have that community, that work place, that neighbor and that purpose before us.

I wish I could have a mini camera to record all the responses over the last weeks and months as we tell people we are moving our family to Nicaragua. "Oh, I could never do that," "wow, is that safe?" "what about your kids?" To which I cling to the truth when you follow His lead you are in the very spot you are supposed to be-and that could be said of each and every one of us, regardless of where that puts us geographically. A friend recently reminded of this quote I love from Corrie ten Boom, "There are no 'if's' in God's world. And no places that are safer than other places. The center of His will is our only safety - let us pray that we may always know it!”

I love this song I posted for these reminders, with lyrics of "I could just stay right where I am and hope to feel You...I could hold on...I could be safe.....but YOU have called me higher, deeper and I'll go where you lead." So for the Gomez family in this season He is leading us to Nicaragua and so we'll go. Where is it that He has you in this season?
